This year, more than 1, pieces of art were entered by students in the seventh through 12th grade from 50 schools. More than individual works appear in the exhibition. The pieces were judged by jurors on Jury Day last month, when more than 50 volunteers pitch in to help with the exhibition. Award recipients at the national level are invited to participate in the awards ceremony at Carnegie Hall, have their work shown in noted galleries, attend workshops and gain consideration for scholarships.
